Version 11.1 Release Notes

These release notes list all changes since the version11.0 (rev.b) release.

To upgrade to this release, you only need to install it over your current version.  There is no need to uninstall the previous version.  Any previous versions will be upgraded automatically -- you do not need to install previous upgrades before this one, and all of your data and settings will be retained.  It will make some automatic changes to your database to bring it up to date, so there may be a slightly longer delay the first time you open it.

Upgrades License Expiration Note: To use this version, your free-upgrades license must be current through 07 / 2021 (July 2021).  To check your free-upgrades license expiration date, go to View / Product Authorizations and check the "Upgrades free through" date.

Networking Note: Be sure that all workstations are upgraded at the same time (shut down all workstations, upgrade all of them, then restart them one by one starting with the master workstation).

Previous Versions Note: You will not be able to go back to using your database with a previous version of Campground Master earlier than 11.0 once you start using this version.  You WILL be able to go back to the current 11.0 release, but will get an initial warning about opening a database from a newer version.  It will work, and you won't lose anything that's not part of the new functions in version 11.1.

General Changes:

•Batch E-mailing and single E-mailing - Validate E-mail address before sending, give them a chance to fix each one in a batch before starting the batch

•Remember the last E-mail receipt format used for Meter readings (Batch meters - E-mail Invoices), separately from other E-mail list functions, and use the same last-used setting for all workstations rather than local-only.

•Added Program Options / Format option to validate E-mail addresses when entering them (Customer Details and New Reservation).  Enabled by default to avoid .

•Merge Customers -- added option to also copy any fields from the non-keeping customer to the 'keep' one, if that field is blank on the 'keep' one  (Also does this automatically when merging online reservations)

•Added an Advanced Condition Expression to the Site Filter, so for instance any Tab View or reservation report can be filtered based on site attributes.

•When automatically formatting to mixed-case, handle #'s (e.g. 1st, 2nd, etc) better, and also directions NW, NE, SE, SW

•Retrieve Online Reservations - Added an option for E-mail settings to ask before re-importing the previously downloaded file (so lockups due to file corruption can be solved)

•Meter reading report - Show a warning if adding charges with a "reading date" more than 25 days in the past -- or if even they even attempt to set it more than 55 days in the past (double warning)

•Added option (Program Options / Functions) to default Find Reservation sorting to by-date instead of by-name (Defaults to off)

•Retrieve Online Reservations - enable the "Link to an existing reservation" function for all types of online reservations, not just Hercules

•Updated Zip Code / Postal Code lookup data.

•Improved and clarified several sections of the documentation, such as Owner reservations, Reservation vs Customer transactions, and E-mail setup.

•Added expression functions:

•Added sample query : Tab view add-on for Security Deposit balance

•Updated Sample custom E-mail confirmation Forms to obey the "Use check in/out dates" E-mail confirmation option and show the special format.

•Added Sample custom versions of Customer Labels and Vendor Labels

•Added Sample Form - Dymo customer label

Bug Fixes:

•Fixed a networking glitch that can cause synchronization lock-ups

•Fixed New Reservation issue with the Block-To date being checked automatically when it shouldn't

•Fixed the issue of the Views resetting (back to Rack) when an E-mail is sent on another workstation

•Do daily auto-backups even if the auto-save option is disabled

•Fixed POS payment buttons being disabled for Clerk level if no reservation selected

•Fixed issue with SMTP settings changed on one WS not changing on others until restart

•Fixed extra "Receipt must be printed" prompt when it's already printed.

•Fixed crash when parsing E-mail reservations having a # nights out of range, and added an error condition if # nights > 1000

•Fixed Queries so they can't execute an action (e.g double-click) on a row without a record, e.g. a totals row.

•Fixed tab views like On Site to show "Resv Type" heading instead of just "Type" by default, so it's not confused with Site Type

•Fixed Rack issue of not refreshing the colors if a Color Rule is changed in the Color Key

•Fixed so Find Reservation default settings are not changed when using Select Resv from the POS dialog

•Correctly handle special characters in names, etc from online reservations.

•Fixed issue with online reservation E-mails being saved as Guaranteed even when "Save as Inquiry" used (if they have guarantee info).

•POS Inventory Items below re-order report -- Fixed Inventory filtering for <= threshold if the threshold is 0 so items are shown when they go down to 0

•Fixed so "Manage Guests" button is enabled on Reservation Details if the reservation has guests, even if Guest types are disabled now

•Fixed so it does not prevent checking out a reservation with Canceled Guest reservations.

•Fixed auto-checkout to check out guests even if the host is not being checked out yet (guest leaving before host)

•Fixed auto-checkout to check out guests even if the host has a balance not paid-thru

•Fixed auto-checkout to check out reservations even if Paid-Thru date is not set (e.g. no payment was needed)

•Hercules - ignore time-since-last-full-request delay if the reason for full download is an empty order, since never seen an empty one in a full download

•Fixed issue with splitting reservations creating duplicate Hercules order ID's, which fixes some sync issues

•Fixed a bug with Cayan cancel response handling
